Ballo del Fiore
Under the motto “Ballo del Fiore” dancers and musicians present an invitation to a festive evening at the court of an Italian prince. With dances by the well-known dancing masters Cesare Negri (1536- after 1604) and Fabritio Caroso (1527- after 1605), whose choreographies were still being performed well into the C17th, the audience is transported to the exciting time between the renaissance and baroque, when opera was born. It was at that time, that feelings and emotions took on a new importance not only on stage but also in music. So not only does CAPELLA CÆSAREA strike up a dance, but also performs virtuosic compositions by Dario Castello, Andrea Falconiero, among others.
Costumes, historic instruments and the joy of the performers, the old vividly brought back to life, the evening promises to be a feast of the senses for the guests.
